If everything is connected correctly, on your keyboard, printing the Windows Cardinal + P to open up the projection Panel and choose Duplicate to ship a signal to the projector

Yes. I connected estimator HDMI to VGA display. Then 'project', 'duplicate'. Null appeared on display.

I personally have never used a projector, so I am kind of merely guessing...

Do you have some other HDMI to VGA Adapter\Converter you can test with ?

HDMI is digital, VGA is non... It is not a straight connection process to convert HDMI to VGA...

Thank you for your reply. Please explain, in not to technical terms, how 'project' 'duplicate' knows to use the HDMI port. I do non take another cable. I am thinking of scrapping this cablevision and getting i the is USB to VGA. What are your thoughts on USB-VGA?

Hi,

If in that location is no output when you lot hook upwardly a 2d display of any blazon, there is either a trouble with the output settings of your Graphics Adapter (Carte or GPU), or the connecting cable...

So in your case, either the HDMI output is not configured properly, or you have a bad cable...

I have no feel hooking up whatsoever blazon of brandish using a USB connectedness, but that would probably be my last choice... I would recollect the USB connection would be somewhat limited equally to the video response time...

I recollect I take the same problem. Nevertheless when I cull to use only the second screen (my telly) then it works fine.

Hi,

I recently read something about changing the output resolution to the projector or second monitor... 800x600 was specifically mentioned, but that may be related to the specific capabilities of that specific projector...

As I mentioned... I have personally never attempted to employ a projector, and it has been many years since I used a 2nd monitor... And even then, the second monitor was a TV..
